This will be our page to list the Events coming and ones past, as well as News and other nonsense. Basically us blathering on about this and that, but the great thing is... there are folk who actually enjoy this stuff so away we go!
RECENT EVENTS
Mario’s Food Centre was invited to participate in this great event that celebrated and showcased Portugal and Portuguese culture. We setup a booth at the Gatineau City Hall along with other artisans, business and individuals. We were very pleased with the results and got our name out there to those who had never heard of us. We now welcome a lot of new clientele and they have referred their friends and so on and so on...
We set up a booth at the Ottawa Super EX last summer to introduce the patrons to Real Food! We served Bifanas & Chourico on Portuguese buns (Piri Piri sauce for flavour!) and an assortment of drinks from Portugal and Brazil. We were a big hit, the patrons chined how they were thrilled to have real food in place of the fast food one would normally eat at these events.
This award was given to Mario’s Food Centre in recognition for being in business and contributing to the community for 41 years!
Vanier Quartier BIA Award - 2008
The Cummings Longevity award is given once every 5 years, this being the first! It was presented to Mario’s Food Centre by Mauriel Belanger MP for Vanier Ottawa District.
